The Signature Decongestant Facial Massage at our Poole studio has many benefits. These include: nourishing and brightening the skin and helping to alleviate the pain and symptoms of a variety of debilitating ailments including migraines, sinusitis and neuralgia.  This is carried out through the application of advanced massage techniques. 

It is ideal for people to have in-between anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox and dermal fillers as it improves overall skin health. Your skin will be nourished, exfoliated, and brightened. Your skin tissues will be cleansed, tightened, and toned, resulting in a natural rejuvenating glow.  

This effective facial can also help you manage sinus issues, tension headaches and TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint dysfunction), as well as tinnitus and facial paralysis (including Bells Palsy).  Claire has experienced the benefits of this treatment first-hand, having suffered from neuralgia and Bells Palsy four times.

 

What To Expect

The Signature Decongestant Facial Massage starts with a natural oil cleanse using Camelia Tea Oil to the facial and neck tissues. The treatment begins with the gentle rhythmic application of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) techniques to stimulate the neck and facial lymph nodes. This aids the body's immune system and helps to reduce fluid retention whilst cleansing the metabolic waste from those tissues. 

 Following on with a shoulder, neck, and head massage, preparing the tissues for the application of deeper facial massage techniques including acupressure point massage to improve qi (bioenergy) flow. This releases tension held within the tissues and allows built-up metabolic waste and toxins to be flushed into the now stimulated lymphatic system. 

The treatment finishes with facial sculpting using silicone cups which further flushes clear the stagnant metabolic waste released from the deeper work, tightens and tones the deeper tissues while increasing blood flow, bringing fresh oxygen and nutrients to the deeper connective tissues and encouraging the presence of healing red blood cells thereby improving overall skin health.

Can I Have This Treatment After Botox Or Fillers?

Please wait a minimum of 48 hours before having this treatment if you have had Botox or dermal fillers.   Anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscle tissues so they are unable to move.  Over time this leads to potential muscle atrophy with an increased build-up of metabolic waste in the relaxed tissues.  By stimulating the lymphatic system, we can move interstitial fluids and containing the built up metabolic waste from the facial tissues to promote improved tissue health and deeper massage techniques will work to minimise and preserve the muscle tone.
